Solo Sailing

Cruising on your own is a fun and relaxing way of creating a cruise experience with your own choices and not having to worry about anyone else.  There are some great benefits such as getting out to meet other passengers from different parts of the world and making new friends. You’re also free to decide what you want to do and when, relax at the pool, dine in a restaurant alone or with others, or enjoy a show all at your own leisure. You may even decide to participate in group activities such as a cooking class, bingo, karaoke and workshops to meet other solo cruisers.

It’s the perfect opportunity to spoil yourself.

You only have to look after yourself as you enjoy the spa facilities, shopping venues and safety of taking a late night stroll on deck. What’s more is that everything is arranged for you from the minute you step onboard with no need to worry about accommodation, transfers, entertainment and more, plus the great shore excursions (where applicable).
To avoid paying a high premium for being a solo traveller, look out for cruise lines which offer single cabins or who have special fares for single cruisers, as single supplements can range from an extra 10 % to 100% of the cruise fare.  Quite often smaller cruise ships are more flexible in this regard.
